1. Who this covers
This policy describes how Contract Connect handles information about homeowners and prospective customers who use this website, request estimates, schedule visits, hire us for work, or hold a HomePassport membership. Trade contractors who apply to our network through the contractor portal are also covered, and we note the differences where they matter.
“Contract Connect,” “we” and “us” mean the Contract Connect business operating at (317) 528-0040 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
2. What we collect
We try to collect only what a contractor actually needs to price and perform your work. In practice that is:
| Category | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Contact and property information | Name, email address, phone number, street address, city, state, ZIP | You, on the estimate wizard, inspection request form, or by phone |
| Project information | Service type, your answers to intake questions, scope descriptions, timeline, budget indications, access notes | You, during intake |
| Photos and files | Photos of the work area, documents and receipts you upload, completion photos taken on site | You, and our project managers and trade partners on your job |
| Estimate and job records | Estimate scope and pricing, signed change orders, schedules, permits, inspections, warranty terms, service history | Generated by us as your project proceeds |
| Account and login data | Session identifiers, portal access tokens, password hashes for portal and contractor accounts | Created when you access a portal |
| Payment records | Amounts, dates, invoice and receipt references, payment status | Our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number. |
| Membership data | HomePassport plan, billing status, service requests, maintenance reminders, coverage details | You and our systems, if you enroll |
| Reviews and feedback | Ratings and comments you submit through a review link we send you | You, if you choose to respond |
| Technical data | IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, timestamps | Automatically, when you browse the site |
| Contractor applicant data | Business name, trades, service ZIP codes, license and insurance documentation | Trade contractors applying to our network |
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, health information, or precise device geolocation from homeowners, and you should not send them to us.
3. Photos and AI analysis
This is the part of our service that is least like a typical contractor, so we want to be specific about it.
When you upload photos and answer intake questions, that content is transmitted to Anthropic, an artificial intelligence provider, whose models analyze the images to identify the work involved, take measurements, and assemble a scope. The scope is then priced by our own systems against professional construction cost data. Your photos are sent for this purpose only.
Photograph the work area, not people. Please avoid including images of people, documents containing personal information, screens, or anything else you would not want in a project file — the photos become part of your project record.
4. How we use it
- To build your estimate and produce a written, line-item price.
- To schedule and perform your project: assigning a project manager, coordinating trade partners, ordering materials, pulling permits, scheduling inspections.
- To communicate with you about your estimate, project, appointments, and warranty.
- To bill you and process payments.
- To maintain the record of your home described in section 6, so you do not have to re-supply information we already have.
- To administer a HomePassport membership if you have one, including maintenance reminders and service requests.
- To operate, secure and improve the site and our estimating accuracy.
- To meet legal, permitting, warranty, insurance, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade your contact information to other contractors or lead-generation companies.
5. Who we share it with
We share information with the following categories of recipients, limited to what each one needs:
| Recipient | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Trade partners assigned to your job | Your name, address, phone, scope of work, and relevant photos | They cannot do the work without it |
| Anthropic (AI provider) | Project photos and intake answers | Photo analysis and scope generation — see section 3 |
| Stripe (payment processor) | Payment amount, billing contact, card details you enter on their form | Processing payments; they handle card data, we do not |
| Render (hosting and database) | All application data, as our infrastructure provider | Running the website and storing records |
| Email and SMS providers | Your email address or mobile number and message contents | Delivering estimates, receipts, reminders and alerts |
| Google Analytics | Technical and page-view data — see section 9 | Understanding site usage |
| Permitting authorities and inspectors | Property address, scope, plans as required by the jurisdiction | Legally required for permitted work |
| Professional advisors, insurers, and authorities | Only what is necessary | Legal claims, insurance, audits, or where required by law |
If our business is ever sold or reorganized, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
6. Your home's record
Contract Connect organizes information around the property rather than around individual transactions. Estimates, projects, repairs, permits, warranties, uploaded documents and service history are linked to a single record for your home — your Digital Home Passport. That is deliberate: it is why we do not ask you the same questions twice, and why we know the age of your water heater the next time something goes wrong.
Practical consequences you should understand:
- Information persists across projects. Details you gave us for one job may inform a later estimate on the same home.
- Property records outlive individual jobs. Warranty, permit and system-history data is retained because it is what makes the record useful.
- Verified information is not silently overwritten. Where our systems infer something automatically, it is marked as unverified and does not replace a value you or our staff confirmed.
- Ownership changes. If you sell the home, we do not transfer your personal contact information or billing history to a new owner. Contact us about a property record when ownership changes.
7. Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages. Your full card number, CVC and expiration are submitted directly to Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We retain the amount, date, status and a reference identifier so we can invoice, refund and account correctly. Stripe's own privacy terms govern its handling of your payment data.
8. Email, calls and text messages
We contact you about your estimate, project, appointments, invoices and warranty — these are transactional messages tied to work you asked us to do. Calls with our office may be documented in your project notes.
Where you have provided a mobile number and agreed to receive text messages, we may text you about scheduling and urgent project matters. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop text messages by replying STOP, or by telling us by phone or email; you can stop marketing email using the unsubscribe link. We will still need to reach you about active work by some means.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar storage for two things: keeping you signed in to a portal and remembering your place in the estimate wizard, and measuring site usage through Google Analytics. Analytics tells us which pages people use and where they abandon the estimate flow. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and you can use Google's opt-out browser add-on; blocking the session cookies will prevent portal login from working.
10. Security
The site is served over encrypted connections. Portal and contractor passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never in readable form. Access to customer records is limited to staff and trade partners who need it for your project, and administrative sessions expire after a period of inactivity. Card data never reaches our systems.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the authorities as required by Indiana law.
11. How long we keep it
We keep project, permit, warranty and payment records for as long as we may need them to honor a warranty, resolve a dispute, or satisfy tax, insurance and legal obligations. Home records are retained so your Digital Home Passport remains useful over time. Estimate requests that never become projects are retained so we can pick up where you left off if you return. You may ask us to delete information as described below, and we will do so except where we are required or permitted to keep it.
12. Your choices and requests
You may ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- give you a copy of it;
- correct anything inaccurate — including corrections to your home's record;
- delete information we no longer need for a project, warranty or legal obligation;
- stop sending you marketing email or text messages.
Email info@mycontractconnect.net or call (317) 528-0040. We will verify who you are before acting on a request about a specific home, and we will respond within the time frame applicable law requires. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
13. Children
This site is intended for adults arranging work on their property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top and post the revised version here. Material changes affecting how we use information about existing customers will be communicated directly.
